On February 16, 2023, twelve people gathered to brainstorm ways that St Andrew’s might live out the church’s calling in our Creed “to live with respect in creation” and to respond to the climate crisis.

These initiatives were highlighted:

•  Work with community
• Build a Pollinator Garden
• Reduce the St Andrew’s carbon footprint by 80% by 2050
• Learn about/begin composting
• Do an Energy Audit
• Educate on solar panels/heat pumps

And so the direction of the Green Team was determined.

Much has been done, much is still being done, much needs to be started.

Notice the church retrofit. Notice “Reduce Reuse Recycle” tips in the church bulletin. Notice the Pollinator Garden. Notice the composter. Notice the Woodland Sanctuary.
