"Messy Church is Food, Fun, Faith, Family!"
Designed to bring children, youth and adults together in fun and interactive activities, Messy Church is a new way to explore the values and stories of Christian Faith in an atmosphere of creativity, hospitality and celebration at St. Andrew's United Church (5226-51 Avenue). It is held on the First Friday of every month, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Call 403-782-3148 for more info.
We are pleased to introduce a new feature to our website. Lighting candles has been done to help as a spiritual practice for people dealing with various issues in their lives. Candles may be lit at home, church or impromptu shrines. It might be as a symbol of gratitude, concern or encouragement combined with a prayer. It may be a moment of feeling connected with the Divine, a time between you and God.
You may post anonymously or leave your name. It is helpful for you to write a short description of your concern/celebration/gratitude.
We hope you will also read the thoughts of others who have posted here and include them in your prayers.
We screen all submissions for appropriate language and content before posting them publicly. We try to complete the screening within 48 hours.
By offering this possibility of lighting a candle on-line we hope that you will find connection with both God and this community.

"Giving is meant to be a joyful expression of thanks to God from the heart, and not a legalistic obligation". St. Andrew's United is introducing more options to donate to the church, including PayPal. Just click on the "My Offering" image to the right and you will be taken to our online donation page for more information.
Audio of Sermons
St. Andrew's is pleased to introduce audio of sermons presented by our ministers, Reverend Ross Smillie and Pastor Marco Ste. Marie. We believe this will provide an extension of our worship to those who cannot attend service or would like to hear a sermon again. Click on "Sermons" on the left hand side of the page to find a sermon to listen to.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer shawl ministry is an outreach ministry of the United Church Women (UCW). The UCW supplies the wool for the prayer shawls. We welcome knitters, crocheters and "wanna bees" to join us every second and fourth Monday at St. Andrew United Church at 1:30. We also supply wool to people who want to knit or crochet in their homes. If you know someone who is experiencing a challenging time in their life and could benefit from receiving a prayer shawl, please make us aware by contacting Janet Tack @782-3802 or Doris Thesenvitz @782-7063.
Circles of Care(CoC)
The vision of Circles of Care is that all persons connected with the congregation will experience God's love through the care they receive from others in the congregation. We are asking for your help as members of church circles and congregation. If you are aware of someone from our congregation who needs a card, phone call or visit, please identify them to us. This can be done by contacting Anneke Kassies(403-782-9831) or Doris Thesenvitz(403-782-7063). This can also be done by tearing off the blank below and placing it in the offering plate.
